As a responsible viewer and citizen, it's disheartening to see films like "Swatantrata Veer Savarkar" being used as tools to spread hatred and division, especially in the sensitive context of pre-election periods in India. This movie's deliberate portrayal of historical figures like Gandhi and Nehru in a negative light, along with its exclusion and vilification of Muslims and Christians, only serves to stoke communal tensions. It's deeply concerning that such films are more focused on political agendas than on historical accuracy or promoting harmony.While I respect patriotism and nationalism, I cannot condone any narrative that glorifies violence or incites animosity. My experience watching this movie was regrettable, as it fostered a toxic atmosphere of abuse and negativity in the theater. Despite Randeep Hooda's talent as an actor, his involvement in producing and directing such a divisive film raises questions about his judgment and political leanings. It's disappointing to see someone of his caliber aligning with extremist ideologies, as evidenced by his association with the BJP. As a result, I've made the decision to boycott his future projects. It's essential to be vigilant against narratives that seek to divide us and instead promote inclusivity and understanding.
