I saw a Julie And The Phantoms compilation and I thought it was interesting. I decided to watch it, and I finished it in a day.
Wow... The series was, surprisingly, enjoyable! I don't really like these types of movies, but the plot was surprisingly decent. There were a lot of things I disliked, though. The plot itself was interesting, but had many clichés, such as "Mean Rich Girl / Cassie," then the "Boyfriend Who Doesn't Really Like The Mean Girl," and then everyone is jealous of the band.
I also didn't like the pacing. Considering that they met for, I don't know, around a week or a few, and are already close is a bit unrealistic. There was too much drama as well.
Aside from that, Julie And The Phantoms was a pretty great show.
Most of the characters had great personalities.
Luke's backstory was really interesting and sad. His personality was very up - beat, and I liked how passionate he was for music. His relationship with Julie was nice, and they both loved their mothers very much, but had to leave them.
Reggie, despite his parent's fighting, remains cheerful. I liked how even though he was, erm, flirtatious (?) It didn't wasn't his entire personality.
Alex is very relatable. I also overthink a lot myself, and I tried screaming as well to relieve my overthinking. It helped! I really liked his relationship with Willie as well, it was wholesome and cute!
Julie was OK. A bit too perfect, in my opinion.
The ending was weird. It didn't make sense.
Overall, it was a nice show. There were many parts I didn't like, but it was still pretty good.
