I was a fan of the original Charmed and after watching this show, I feel like they care more about trying to appeal to the younger generation with lingo, girl power, technology and adding a lesbian couple that they have no right to call this show 'Charmed'. The male hating is actually shocking and seriously offensive. My mouth actually dropped open when 1 of the sisters said that the Professor didn't deserve his job basically because he was born a male. What a smack in the face!
I also agree with a lot of the other comments about the chemistry between the sisters. There is none. The script reads flat and the girls just feel like they deliver lines without any real emotional connection. They seem stiff and they all act like their gods gift to man kind. Which is in NO WAY how the original cast acted. They were kind, sincere and helped everyone.
The youngest sister is actually quite irritating to watch. She says she's taking being a witch seriously and then looks back at her phone to text. I don't feel like they have any passion for this. I feel like they're being pushed into it and dragged on. Look at all their faces at the beginning of episode 3 after they get out of the training ball. They're all IRRITATED listening to their white lighter. They couldn't look more bored and just looked like they wished they'd be doing anything else but training. The original cast may have gotten frustrated with trying to get the hang of their magic, but they NEVER acted like it was an interference with their lives like these lot do. Where's the devotion? Where's the discipline that the originals had? To sit down, get it right because lives were at stake?
This show is just plain awful.
