It was disappointing that so much space in the 4 books i read so far was used to develop and hash out mental disorders for almost EVERY character. The continuity and/or logic between events wasn't all that good either but it just seemed he procrastinated with moving the story along choosing rather to focus on things that arnt very interesting to me and that you can get in almost every other book. I'll read book 5 hoping it's better but I probably won't continue the series past that. It seems common in books that they have grand ideas but focus so much on the mundane.
