The third vignette is about the cost of a human (or God forbid, its inevitable family) to produce one's personal income for them and their (God forbid, entitled offspring) family. It's about the future of robotics and automated cost reduction. Woe to the future of the uneducated worker whom relies upon its sustenance from seemingly compassionate employers. As in Diane Ackerman's re-telling of the 'Horror of the Ik' we revert to our lowest base form when acting in the utmost of survivalist mode. But I say, beware of how far you drive the average soul to desperation. For they will revolt against all that has starved them.
