Short Answer: Weird. Long Answer: Multiverse of Madness feels like it was possible "forcefully written" for marvel's likings to the point where most of it didn't feel like Sam Raimi's doing, and I've heard rumors that Multiverse of Madness was rewritten multiple times which implies there were versions where it felt like Sam Raimi actually directed it...all in all it just feels odd to me.
