I thought it was very well done..in spite of the sporadic cursing throughout. Apparantly, every time a War Film is made from The "Hollywood Point Of View", the writers must insert curse words into the dialog so we the audience may get the 'realistic' effect of what it was like to be a WWII soldier. I was struck by the fact that none of the cast was old enough to have actually fought in WWII, but that they probably grew up hearing stories like this from Veterans. Goodman & Murray are old enough to have known men & women who fought in WWII.
It saddens me that Hitler's greed destroyed not only some of the lost art works, but also many lives of their owners. It wasn't only wealthy Jews who owned the items. Many of the artists were long dead, and photography wasn't born til the late 1850's, so there are no known images of much of these lost works.
Every so often, a crime drama does an episode featuring a 'Lost in WWII Art-Piece". I find them haunting and fascinating.
