Fiction movies written with the primary intent of political/social commentary always leave a bad taste in my mouth. The worst part is you know they weren’t even trying to make the best movie possible, they were trying to do what they had to in order to make a point. Feels like a bait and switch. They could have gone in so many different directions and I feel like they sacrificed a great ending just to ”teach us a lesson”.
