This movie was one of the best movies I’ve seen in a while. Movies nowadays are very predictable and, as some would say, upsetting, but I found this movie to be incredibly well-written. Even in the scenes I found predictable, I wanted them to happen. I started the movie at approximately 1 AM, and it’s currently 2:46 AM, and I’ve just finished it. I have no words. Honestly, throughout the entire movie, I didn’t get tired, even in the scenes where not much was happening because every scene had me captivated. I found myself so entertained and amazed by the comedic relief. The actors in this movie were unbelievable; the cast list was incredible, and the thought put behind this movie was amazing.
I can’t say too much without spoiling the movie because I wouldn’t want anybody to get any spoilers. It’s too amazing to watch for the first time. The storyline was so entertaining that even when there was no action, I was still engaged, and I’m someone who usually needs action to stay deeply invested in a movie. The title, "The Hitman," gives no hint about the true nature of the film. Despite being an hour and 55 minutes long, I still wanted more. The detail put into the characters was just amazing. Glenn Powell, Retta, Austin Emilio, Adria Arjona, and so many more brought life into the movie. The twists and turns I didn’t expect had me on the edge of my seat. I wish I could watch it for the first time again, but I will definitely be watching it multiple times.
Even though the movie is comedic, the life lesson behind it is meaningful. Despite my laughter, it left me thinking positively. If you’re reading this, please just go watch it for yourself. Don’t look for spoilers or try to see what it’s about. Just watch it, because that’s what I did, and I’m grateful for it.
