Enlightening, funny, sad and incisive, the golden footage from 1969 is also a revelation. From chaos and fragmenting camaraderie we see The Beatles pulling the final rabbit out of the musical hat, against a shifting background of near disaster, personally and collectively. The film is essential viewing.

Profoundly moving, brilliantly observed and performed, this drama is an evocative, creatively realised and sensitive portrait of how dementia presents itself, its consequences and challenges for all involved. Anthony Hopkins is breathtaking in a note perfect, Oscar-worthy performance. Olivia Colman is utterly brilliant too.

Nobody is a tight, story-driven action drama, which essentially examines a cycle of revengeful violence and one man's addiction to it. Bob Odenkirk shines as the main protagonist. The stunts and fight sequences are excellent. The violence is extreme, visceral and yet spectacularly entertaining. The violence and violation of human beings is at the heart of the drama and yet it has enough of a comic book/graphic novel feel to it so as not to be so gruesome that it would be too disturbing or unwatchable. If you liked the John Wick films then this is definitely for you.

This is a remarkably lame, plodding, unfunny film. The sluggish pace was a real problem, laboured and lacking vitality as if no one really believed in the script or the project itself. I know that I didn't.
