When the programme was at its peak popularity in the 1990's I was working in the USA and often held business lunches and dinners for clients. If the restaurant was busy with a waiting time when they announced 'Beavis table for twio' the whole restaurant would often look around. I used to joke to clients our fellow diners were trying to work out which of us is butt head.
