I'm not someone who buys every new game that comes out, but I do love certain games. I'm really picky with how I spend my time and money, so I was second guessing myself when I bought this game the day it came out. I'm very glad I did. In fact, it's probably already a top 5 game all time for me. It's an incredible game with a great story that doesn't rely on nostalgia (although there are nods) to achieve its success. The music is incredible without copy/pasting the work of John Williams. I found the flow of the game to work quite well, though it would be difficult to do a true "roleplay" playthrough. Side quests felt (mostly) compelling other than annoying Merlin trials. I've only played through once, but my only knock would be the lack of local antagonists (think Draco Malfoy) as well as the lack of a truly dark path. The unforgivable curses are haunting at first, but don't exactly feel "unforgiveable" when put alongside something like Bombardo that literally blows up enemies. Even when playing alongside the non-Slytherin companions, nobody bats an eye at using them. If you want more of a KOTOR style game where you can drastically alter the questline and world with your choices, this may not be the game for you. However, it's still well worth playing and has been an absolute blast.
Also, I really think that quidditch will be added at a later time which gives me hope. Even if it's a paid DLC, I'll take that over micro-transactions any day.
