Forget about animated or not animated. Arcane is hands down the best series I've seen in recent years, not at all what I expected. I've never played League of Legends, and in retrospect, it's even better when you don't know anything about it, since knowing the heroes may damage the viewing experience by telling us who gets to survive and who is expendable.
