This movie took all the epic-ness out of the batman franchise. There was no larger than life bad guy with some unreasonable diabolical plan. Batman wasn't some two sided deep character, being billionaire playboy by day, and justice bringer with cool gadgets beyond belief by night. They've taken all the fantasy out of this franchise, and basically made it as realistic as something that could probably happen in a city like NY in real life, with a skinny batman that fights like a decent MMA fighter. It was basically The Crow meets The Watchmen meets Seven.
