Even older children will enjoy this book. When I read it with my four-year-old and her several-years-older friend for the first time, the older child looked at me, halfway through, and asked, hesitantly, not really believing but still mystified and amazed: "Is this book magic?" Yes. It absolutely is.

The costumes are pretty. That’s all I wanted to say but I got a message that it needs to be 30 characters. So I’ll add that the Flowcabulary town crier is a real low point.
