What can I say!! It has been a joyride of various emotions altogether. Very few times it so happens that you feel so good while watching something that you don't want it to end ever. It becomes a part of you and let you be a part of their journey.
Concept wise, Storyline is perfect. It is generally based on one line idea of a rich family getting broke and finally having to live in a sad place called Schitt's Creek. Direction, narration wise good.
Now coming to the main part that is Acting. Eugene Levy as the father is one hell of a character. He is laudable. You would love to have a father like him any day of your life. He gives ample space to his children and his wife and thus he tries to change his and his family's future by investing in a Motel chain. And he gets succeeded. Catherine O'Hare as Moira is so graceful. She delivers a certain charm in her character that doesn't get boring while she is delivering her dialogues consisting of several hard vocabulary. You definitely will have to look up to the dictionary for it's meanings. She has got a certain poise, she tends to be funny majority of the times and it seems so effortless. Annie Murphy as Alexis is a pampered child who loves travelling, had many boyfriends but in the end found her love of the life. She carried her character's nuisance with such ease that many who are pampered in real life would find similarities. Her character is complete with many dimensions. There is a vast growth in her character from being the notorious to the most loving girl who eventually values her life apart from only running after boyfriends and ends up being a publicist. Daniel Levy as David Rose OOH MY GOD!! what can I say. He was just perfect. He not only acted but had also written and directed episodes of the series. He is funny, witty, emotional, he is all heart. His character is pansexual and for him love don't see the gender and it has played a very important role in support of the LGBT Community. Kudos to that. Very few would take such risk to do it. His face talks a lot. He deserves all the love he is getting for playing the character.
It has been a one hell of a ride. Thank you for that. I Wished the series would have still continued it's franchise but it got a Perfect And a Happy Ending it deserved and ended at the perfect time. Without exaggerating they kept the series short and crisp and worth a watch.
Kudos to the entire team for such a brilliant act. Please do watch it. You won't regret your time watching this masterpiece.
