Just attended the US-Bay Area premiere of The Kashmir Files.It left me and the entire audience speechless.The silence during the end credits was deafening. Everyone was frozen and then we all gave Vivek Agnihotri & Pallavi Joshi a well-deserved standing ovation which lasted for at least 5-7 minutes MUST WATCH When have you ever seen Desi’s not run out of the theater as soon as the end credits roll?No one moved a muscle.I have never cried and felt so much pain while watching a movie. I have no idea how Vivek Agnihotri did the impossible.Real characters - Real Events. I am so grateful to him for having the guts to show the real plight of Kashmiri Pandits. This historically accurate depiction of the Genocide that led to the #exodus and the subsequent plight of Kashmiri pandits. Don't be mistaken - This is No Documentary. You will get invested in the characters from the get go. Anupam Kher acting gave me goosebumps.He flawlessly personified every adorable Kashmiri Pandit Grandpa. This movie will make you fall in love with Darshan Kumaar's acting. Brilliant performance by everyone. Every Kashmiri Pandit like me will relate to the story as they would have suffered or known a family member who experienced the same nightmare. It will leave everyone else with questions like - How can this be real and no one talked about it? Hats off to Vivek Agnihotri for pulling off the impossible. Showcasing the entire History,Genocide,Exodus - All while staying true to the characters and linking them to real events.This true-to-life, historically accurate @KashmirFiles is a MUST WATCH #KashmiriPandit #NeverForget
