Pretty disappointing. I had such high hopes for this film and they could have done a much, MUCH better job with it. They had many great seeds planted and went absolutely nowhere with them. And don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Margot and Ryan and they did a fantastic job with what they were given. I felt like this was such a sexist, painfully awkward film. And why wouldn't you have the Aqua- Barbie Girl song playing for the opening scene? Or anywhere in the film?! It's the classic Barbie song! If anyone has ever seen Life Size starring Tyra Banks- this was how a "barbie" movie should be... it had real meaning, and taught girls the value of loving yourself for who you are... Barbie was all about politics, matriarchy, patriarchy, women vs. men, men vs. women, men are more superior, women are viewed as sexualized play things, mom's are just depressed and hate their lives; like what in the actual %$#! this movie should be taken down- not Jason Aldean's Try That in a Small Town music video- at least he's talking about community and standing up for one another...what did this film have to offer or teach?! No motive or uplifting spirits in any scenario. Just a terrible film all around. Save your money and your time.

My review may be a bit of a disappointment to some, but just know I absolutely love the Guardians of the Galaxy movies... this one, however, was my least favorite of them all. Okay- the Guardians soundtrack has always been so iconic. it's supposed to bring out good vibes.. but this one only had ONE good song by the Beastie Boys that had me smiling...the rest? well, there wasnt any... minus the end scene song? "The Dog Days are Over?" Really........... so many other "ending" songs would have been better than that one. I realize Peter is depressed and all from the loss of Gamora, but the constant arguments and bickering between them throughout the film, was rather annoying. I did LOVE Rocket's story and how they made this more about him and his importance becoming a guardian. Cosmo the dog was phenomenal-LOVED HER. The gold people, whats his name Adam Warlock? Meh- could have done completely without them I believe. Except the end scene- I'll give credit for that- I was about to be SUPER pissed if they had killed Peter like that. There are several other details that just didn't sit well with me during the film... The cussing non-stop was a bit too much, the killing/slaughtering of all these animals, and just the overall dark, depressing cloud that lingered over the entire film... Idk, when I think of The Guardians films- I think happy and funny...I left the theatre literally depressed and expecting so much more... very frustrating because this was the LAST GOTG.... :( Could have gone without seeing this film and creating my own ending to a great saga using my own imagination.
