9 seasons. A lot of hours. So much hope. My and my girlfriend absolutely adored this series. We would both come home from work and be excited to watch it. We would binge watch numerous episodes at a time and not get bored. At first we hoped for robon a Ted but soon after we wanted robin and barney. We got so happy when they finally got together. I shot up with excitement when we did the final play for robin. Then for a whole season to be dedicated to there wedding for it to be completely and utterly pointless is unbearable to think about. To then find out the one true love of Ted (the mother) dies in the finale episode only after getting a few episodes with her in was not right. Then to run back to robin to finish the series how it all started with the blue horn felt like a complete waste of our time. Its should of ended with all 3 couples happily married. I dont see why the had to bail out so hard in the finale. It could of been the perfect show but because of how it all turned out I refuse to watch them just because I know it's all pointless. The mother isnt even the reason for the story. It should be called how I got back with robin. At least in friend Ross and rachel got back together. In this is all falls apart. Barney has a kid with somebody he doesn't want. The universe brought ted and the mother together to rip them apart. The only true love in this series is marshall and lily.
