This was an absolutely fascinating book about fighter pilots preparation and fighting missions in World War II. I am not a war book fan, but this had such strong human interest and the "inside details" of what it takes to train and then fight from planes. Don Beerbower's personal story is also very engaging. The depth of biography plus knowledge warplanes in the European war was fascinating. The feeling of "being there" sticks with you for a long time. Highly recommended
