A marvelously entertaining, lively & technically impressive cinematic achievement. Excellent music, dancing & staging. A truly fun-filled family movie. Almost completely ignored by the motion picture academy. This is one of the best movies of the year, period!

This movie, despite an excellent cast, is ultimately highly disappointing. For reasons perhaps best known only to the director & screenwriters certain crucial plot elements are completely inverted, thereby rendering Graham Greene’s (the novelist) profound themes of the intertwining of doubt, faith, belief, love and friendship almost meaningless. And why?
