The book is a theological contrivance with no semblance to real Christian beliefs of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. The dialogue put into the mouths of the characters is cringe inducing. Really. So unrealistic of a person who saw verification of a dead child's ultimate happiness in heaven. Author creates a clueless man who couldn't process what that means for earthly pain and suffering. His dense reaction is so unbelievable, author doesn't understand the idea of the Beatific Vision described by St. Thomas Aquinas. The vision would fundamentally change anyone and give a different perspective on life and death. Just like it did the Apostles when they only experienced the Resurrection of Christ, seeing the Trinity and a dead child alive would restore complete faith in God.
