Yes, yes and yes. To reboot this old franchise was a risky task to begin with and well, it's a job respectfully and mindfully executed. Having the nostalgia of the first and second Ghostbusters while pulling newer audiences is n fine balance that was hit spot on. It's really just amazing how this was pulled off and I'll gladly give my 5 stars to you Reitman. I'm feeling inspired again and hopeful that directors of this quality is still around and understands what audiences want, not just the old onces but the new once as well and uniting them in one smooth sweep. Having watched the originals over and over again I have to be honest (especially after recently watching my most favorite franchise destroyed Matrix Regurgitations) I watched this reboot with too much scepticism and found myself very pleased at the end. Thank you for this.

Not aligned to the other 3 movies. Has no relatable plot or script to feel anything for. Not sure what the next move would be for this franchise but is does not look good. I can tell you this much, those who liked it believes in the new direction which aligns more with the type of superhero movies we get from Marvel. Those who dislike this movie can't relate to this new narrative and believed it had more success in staying with its roots, as a stand alone movie unlike any other superhero movie. There was some direct input into this film which came from WB and not tge director.
