The only problem with this life changing, pinnacle of cinema is that I can watch movies no longer. Harold and the purple crayon represents a second renaissance of filmmaking, one that cannot be topped.
This movie saved me. I was in a dark place but Harold and the purple crayon kept me going. In truth, Harold and the purple crayon had ruined movies forever, as after witnessing perfection even the best is no longer good enough. Carlos Saldanha has proved himself as the greatest film director of all time, surpassing the likes of Spielberg, Tarantino, Hitchcock and George Lucas.
The only thing that could top Harold and the purple crayon would be a sequel.
