I am from Belfast but emigrated to the U.S in 2004. I really wanted this to be a good movie but to be frank i feel very short changed. If you don't know anything about Belfast when you walked in to see this movie, you still know nothing about it coming out. Really no story line at all. They missed an amazing opportunity to tell the real story of Belfast and it's amazing people wether they be Catholic or Protestant. If you call your movie "Belfast" then you really owed it to the city to do so. But instead it's a little walk down memory lane for the Director. Great Actor's doing what they could with a terrible lightweight script. What a wasted opportunity Kenneth. As a Belfast man myself i have to see I'm happy the movie is over. It stirred little or no emotion from me, and my emotions run very deep for that tortured but dear city.
