I remember when this classic was released. I first saw it on VHS and I've been a cult follower ever since. Penn ended up marrying his co-star Robin Wright. This was around the height of Sean Penn's career, following his tumultuous marriage to Madonna. Gary Oldman excells as Jackie Flannery, who is that anti-hero hoodlum that we all love to hate... but love! Great flick, Great Cast. Shout out to Ed Harris as Frankie and the late Burgess Meredith for eating cans of stewed tomatoes! 🤣
