After all it's just a film... so what.... Many would describe this latest presentation of #Rajishriproductions but this one is way beyond that.... A tale of friendship,of togetherness,of love,of bonding & more importantly of culture & tradition & who better than Mr #soorajbartajya to showcase it on the big screen... Moving with times is not bad but not at the cost of humanity & values Mr #Amitabhbachan undoubtedly is a legend & is par excellence but cheers to the director & writer for not letting the audience feel his dominance over the other characters being his friends played by another set of brilliant actors Mr #anupamkher & #bomanirani & then we have another veteran Mr #dannydenzonpa & if we have seen him on screen after a long time we know for the matter of fact there must be some substance to his role ...a guest appearance it is but he leaves an impact as always... Not to steal the contribution of the female actresses #sarika #neenagupta both good #parineetichopra too is impressive The film has taken as expected a slow start at the box office but i expect the numbers to rise in major territories by word of mouth The classic song Yeh jeevan hai at the background proves it's importance with the subject of film.... #unchaai is not just about Everest but it's about standing tall in all circumstances with firm head & feet grounded A film not to be MISSED & to be enjoyed on THE LARGE SCREEN

When (1) The HERO is the BHAI of the MASSES- SALMAN KHAN (2) The DIRECTOR is the KING of MASALA style of movie making & from the land of entertainment- PRABHUDEVA (3) The FRANCHISEE is of DABANGG... understandably then the 3rd in the series has to be a full of MASALA POTBOILER & it is ... Chulbul pandey is back & so is his entry, for the first time i believe here in BOLLYWOOD for one action scene a different action director has been recruited besides the otherwise action director & the result is grand with the public clapping & whistling in this introductory action sequence, not that this is only at the start there are many such action scenes & dialogues to get this feedback again & again, the story in this third part goes to flashback showing CHULBUL PANDEYs past & his first love who was killed by the VILLIAN & how then CP came into the police force, the second half back to present & revenge time & finishing the villian, of course nothing new but then it is SALMAN KHAN with his style..... critics & classes might call it overdoing, masses & his fans call it Apne bhai ki bhaigiri & they love him for all this & he after the disappointing BHARAT this time delivers, as the villian KICHHA SUDEEP is average playing a cool & calm kind of character, Sonakshi is the same while the new face SAIEE MANJREKAR is a disappointment more or so because of a limited screen time, the comedy track between RAJESH SHARMA & PARESH GANATRA is entertaining & reminds of JEETENDRA movies having KADER KHAN & SHAKTI KAPOOR JODI,rest all actors/characters have hardly anything to do & especially to see a performer like BHARAT DHABOLKAR being wasted is sad ,Music is a big letdown... DABAANG is only DABAANG because of SALMAN KHAN & his style, his action , his persona... Not a loser for sure but not very sure of this going really big especially with the next week having AKSHAY KUMAR & that is GOOD NEWZZ

One good thing of this modern day film makers is firstly that they have started making BIOPICS & secondly not only of the very known & successfull names but also of those achievers who otherwise would really not matter to a common man in day to day life , one such name is the PATNA based MATHEMATICIAN GENIUS MR ANAND KUMAR & on whose successful training programme SUPER 30 is based, he himself coming from a poor background faced difficulties in the sense that he could not travel even after getting a Cambridge admission due to lack of finances, circumstances led to the death of his father & he then started selling papads for living till he is spotted by a shrewd businessman who but of course for his own benefits gives him a teacher's job in his classes & in no time MR ANAND KUMAR becomes a name to reckon with in his city, he also is on the way to get carried away with the new find success & money till he is made to come to sense & that time he takes on it to himself start a institute whereby he would give free training to the poor class IIT ASPIRANTS this leading to a war with his former boss , finally of course the GOOD overcomes the BAD & VICTORY is his & his 30 students , a true story as mentioned & well handled by DIRECTOR VIKAS BAHL the film has many clappworthy scenes laced beautifully with emotions & drama, the only scene i have doubts is a little before climax whereby the students save their teacher from hired goons using their technical knowledge , now was this for real or dramatised here is not really known to me but as far to the context of the film it is well executed & gets whistles & clapping from the crowd, also the climax scene of HRITHIK ROSHAN where he displays his ANXIETY awaiting his 30 students result & then his happiness & his breaking down on hearing the good results of all his students is a master stroke by this talented actor though in totality HRITHIK'S urban image is in many a scenes a disturbing factor for this character he plays, good performances by the students who all seem to be unknown & raw faces & also brilliant supporting acts by VIRENDRA SAXENA , ADITYA SRIVASTAVA, NANDESH SANDHU & on top of the list PANKAJ TRIPATHI Not a regular kind of HRITHIK ROSHAN film one has seen him doing this is a little off beat but still has many commercial elements to make it a success in big cities, not very sure of success in the smaller cities, my rating would be 4 on 5

If bollywood has SINGHAM, SIMBA & to come SURYAVANSHI, then it also has SHIVANI SHIVAJI ROY, the MARDAANI & she is back, now at KOTA from MUMBAI to catch a phsyco rapist, a young boy...one can call it a coincidence that a time when we in our country have witnessed a brutal rape & murder then comes along a film based on & around this subject... Rape by itself is THE WORST CRIME & totally unacceptable with most of us agreeing on one ground i.e, for a fast track & severe punishment , the director here clearly conveys this message in the end & in a way leaves the ending open for it's viewers & judiciary to decide... the film starts with the villain of the story for whom to rape & surpress a woman is a high & he does that & very brutally, to solve this case now from Mumbai the daredevil lady cop SHIVANI is transferred & she strikes immediately by hurting the ego of our psycho killer & rapist, from then on it's a cat & mouse game, an engaging 105 minutes thriller , thankfully no unnecessarily put in songs to fill in the norms of a bollywood film & leads to an expected but differently & well handled climax The 3 A's of the movie are (a) The DIRECTOR GOPI PUTHRAN who also is the story, screenplay & dialogue writer... implements a perfect picture of what he has had in his mind on the large canvas, not going wrong or overboard anywhere & keeping the viewers engrossed, simultaneously handling a sensitive & tropical subject very maturely (b) The villain, VISHAL JETHWA, a young 25 year old boy & what a debut performance on the big screen, total in control & full of confidence , he for sure is the next big thing in HINDI CINEMA, here the viewers are going to LOVE TO HATE HIM & (c) The hero of this film, yes HERO... RANI MUKHERJEE, definitely a brilliant performance once again & two of her outstanding scenes here are the one where she appears for a live TV TALK show & at the climax , the very end after she has had the villain beaten up A movie NOT TO BE MISSED for sure , for me it's 5 on 5

SHIKARA... a movie set in the BEAUTIFUL valley of SRINAGAR, unfortunately disturbed for political reasons,mastercrafted excellently & emotionally by writer,director & also the producer MR VIDHU VINOD CHOPRA who i believe is himself from there, as in the end credit titles mentioned it's a tribute to his mother & must be his dream to film this... for many a cinegoers this film could be disappointing for after watching the trailer the expectation was of some politically issue based content but intelligently written & presented by MR CHOPRA this is a love story, a journey of a newly married couple just around the time when the political disturbance started there & SHIKARA is basically the name of their house, their home which they had just built with love & had to flee leaving it unguarded, also a sidetrack of how close friends with no resentment to each other get separated by relationship & by thoughts & some become a victim, a target losing their life... At 2 hours of running time though the movie might seem slow but is gripping & touching.... many a scenes which will bring back many a memories not only to those victimised but make the other viewers feel what actually the scenario was... Beautifully shot very much in this paradise KASHMIR, also in brief showing their culture & tradition which also changed with time rather not for good this movie is worth a watch but with a different mindset & perspective Confident & great performance by the debutant pair SADIA & AADIL KHAN & also a good supporting cameo by PRIYANSHU MUKERJEE but as mentioned earlier too KUDOS to MR VIDHU VINOD CHOPRA for presenting this on the larger celluloid

Undoubtedly it's a DIRECTOR'S film, after MULK MR ANUBHAV SINHA comes up with another film which will hold the audiences interest right through, it's a thriller with a political background laced up with the age old issue of caste, creed & discrimination, three minor girls belonging to schedule caste are raped of which two are found dead hanging on a tree trying to make it a open & shut case of suicide & one goes missing, enters the hero, an honest police officer who suspects foul & in a peaceful manner starts the investigation alongwith his team & succeeds in his mission The story & screenplay is such that there are no boring moments in it, yes some might find the pace of the movie slow in the first half but the built up to the drama is brilliant, be it the start or the interval & then the climax all are well conceived & shot Good cameos by MOHAMMED ZEESHAN & NASSIR but we have three brilliant performances i.e.of MANOJ PAHWA & KUMUD MISHRA both as the junior officers in ranking to the hero proving why they are now a days the much in demand character artists & of the hero AYUSHMANN KHURANA who is now specialised in doing small budget films completed in a short span of time & going on to become a BOX OFFICE BLOCKBUSTER.. if last week we had KABIR SINGH this week its ARTICLE 15 5 on 5 rating for this

NONSENSE at it's BEST, SENSELESS too but if one decides that ENTERTAINMENT without LOGIC is the need of the day than yes that is HOUSEFULL, 4 now in the series this one does go a little bit overboard from the first three & especially in the first half but makes up for it in the post interval with a laugh riot climax, based on reincarnation this one is different from the ones we have seen before such as MADHUMATI, NEELKAMAL, KUDRAT, KARZ, KARAN ARJUN & OM SHANTI OM, to some extent the revenge theme is there but it has the COMICAL angle to it & has a rebirth gap of 600 years, it infuses a lot of old & recent bollywood films, songs & characters in its story line, like the mentioning of GOVINDA & PRABHUDEVA even 600 years before for their dancing capabilities, not a single perfomance is BAD, yes they might not be excellent but then they are what they are supposed to be , yes FUNNY In a cameo NAWAZUDDIN SIDDIQUI in the remix of the yesteryear's hit song BHOOT RAJA from CHACHA BHATIJA is entertaining, RANJEET once again in his trademark style leaves a mark, JOHNNY LEVER & CHUNKY PANDEY have their moments, KRITI SANON, KRITI KHARBANDA & POOJA HEGDE also are good, MANOJ PAUHA, SHARAD KELKAR & RANA DAGUPATI are good being bad,RITESH DESHMUKH & BOBBY DEOL are hilarious but understandably the most HILARIOUS & the one because of whom it is HOUSEFULL again & again is AKSHAY KUMAR, after doing some social relevant & inspirational films he is back with a full to comedy nonsense film which has it's own fun, seriously if after MR GOVINDA there is someone who can carry off comedy at it's BEST then it has to be MR AKSHAY KUMAR, his take off on the late SHRI KESHTO MUKERJEE is a delight & also where he mimics MR PARIKSHIT SAHNI who too plays a role in this film as AKSHAY'S father Critics review might be bad for this film but ultimately it's the PUBLIC & once again they are going to put HOUSEFULL BOARDS up for HOUSEFULL

UJDA CHAMAN, a subject not only dealing with the baldness issue as highlighted in the promos but also the issue of overweight & the complexity one suffers alongside for these issues, a 30 year old professor is not only facing rejection issues for his marriage but is also a reason for jokes in his working space & a cause of worry to his family till he meets a 29 year old beautiful lady who is overweight but hereby lies the difference, while she lives without any guilt or complexity & falls in love with the boy he is not ready to accept her.... at 120 minutes of running time it's a well made & directed film & has comedy & emotions laced well together, also the performances of all the actors are GOOD but the absence of well known actors is felt MAANVI GAGROO one of the leads who prior to this has had more of supporting roles here makes full use of this opportunity & does an EXCELLENT ACT, the other lead SUNNY SINGH too in his first solo lead role comes out GOOD Overall not a bad movie , definitely watchable , it's only drawback being it's been released a week before BALA which too is somewhere on the similar subject & has the presently very successful actor in it , still would not be a losing proposition for the makers

Complicated it is & was always, LOVE... AAJ KAL & so is this movie.. the MASTER of love stories, supposedly one of the best in this genre comes out with one of his most lousiest & as mentioned earlier complicated film IMTIAZ ALI must have been passionate about this subject but definitely has got it wrong this time by getting it on the big screen, a 140 minute film ends up to be a drag on, as a web series it might have worked but for sure not as a film No doubt about the subject but then it's the narration & treatment which is totally a BORIYAAT... 2 time zones, present 2020 & past 1990, in our days it used to be called flashback & used to be there once in the narrative unlike in this film where it keeps on coming at regular intervals confusing the viewers more of it because the otherwise lead character is visualised & projected as himself by the second lead ( confused already,can't even suggest to watch this to understand it) The message here in this boring drama is that ultimately it is love that wins, a girl who is focussed on making a career, also pressurised by her mother for it & who wants to enjoy life by herself & having a liberal mind finds a man who is crazily in love with her, she ignores him & is cool to have a one night stand kind of relationship with him till she gets falsely impressed by an elderly man who makes her feel that love is the best thing to happen, she reciprocates to her obsessed lover but then the story takes a turn & she soon realizes that the elderly person didn't really have that impressive love life & once again she distances herself from love, finally at the end of it the story takes another U turn & the elderly person now shares his feeling of how he repents for his past doings & then for the good our heroine goes back to the hero & all well that ends well with the only good thing of this film coming in the end credit titles , the popular remix of the 2009 film of the same name , by the same director but then that had a much better story line & witty dialogues compared to this slow melodramatic mistake Performances wise RANDEEP HOODA is average, the new find ARUSHI SHARMA is promising, the current sensation KARTIK ARYAN is good & his popularity might get the film the opening numbers which should then see a fall in the coming days... but once again it is SARA ALI KHAN who is tremendously confident & natural, not only looking beautiful & sexy but lightens up this otherwise dull movie with her perfomance,only for her & the remix song it would be 2.5 star rating
