I don't care about the race swapping, I don't care that she's a lesbian, I always thought she was. I care that they tried too hard to make it weird and edgy. I care that they're sexualizing highschoolers, the self referential garbo about writing television shows is so over the top and at times confidently incorrect. The obvious self insert as velma is terrible. What about this is similar to Scooby-Doo? Sure, they're solving a mystery, but everything else is gone. Scooby-Doo wasn't great because they solve mysteries.
