This is only my opinion so… ;) -When I saw the trailer,(some other people may have pointed out) basically the whole plot had been revealed and some large parts of the film too. -I don’t want to be judgmental, but the giant kraken make me think of those glowing caterpillars. -Other than the plot being revealed in the trailer, I have to say that it was not that interesting or unusual, and was bland. At some points (Spoiler) like the whole ‘trident of oceanius will bring peace’, and how her friendships were executed just DID NOT make sense for me, and was sort of lazy and/or unfocused. -This movie had a lot of forgotten or hazy plot points.(Spoiler) One of many which wasn’t focused on was that the grandmama mentioned different ‘foul beasts’ in the sea, and other than mermaids, everything else was unsaid.(so the krakens basically sat around in the sea for 15 years.All hail the mighty sea guardians.) Now I’ve spent like 5 minutes straight being cranky I guess I’ll say that at some points it wasn’t that bad, and the animation was decent enough, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend it as my top movie.
