SOOOOOO sick of films where animal deaths are par-for-course or plot devices. Most adaptations of books too, where films adapt everything BUT that? How about Hollywood start making films where the animals survive? Beyond that (getting off my soapbox) the film itself lacks anything that is even remotely attention-grabbing. All-in-all, although I generally don't subscribe to the made-up merit of Rotten Tomato ratings, they pretty much got it right with Chaos Walking. 2.5/10 stars.
P.S. Note that most 5-star reviews are from people who, admittedly, haven't even seen the film! Kind of ridiculous to review a film you haven't seen, wouldn't you say?
