Eugene Toner

This is a superbly well structured book with an excellent storyline and a superb finale. Though I am not not your typical reader of science fiction, occasionally reading Stephen King, I found this book to immediately resonate with me mainly due to to the characters and the locations I am familiar with on the Wirral and later in Lisbon. The settings and characters were beautifully detailed and I felt that I was personally there amongst the action particularly those set on the Wirral. Though you were taken on an action packed journey, back and forth, through different periods the pace was extremely well managed by the Author. Finally this book is an absolute credit to the Author given it was his first! It has certainly changed my opinion on sci-fi. It also merits consideration for an adaption on screen. I truly recommend this book.
