I loved the movie, I've probably watched it a million times and I never grew tired of it. During my senior year of high school, our softball team gathered at my coaches before heading to state and watched this movie together to hype ourselves up. Whenever I heard there was a series coming out, I was so excited to see the movie characters and their lives during the league. Ugh...I didn't even finish the 1st episode. The only part I liked was them including African Americans. The writers could've done so much better in my opinion. The actresses in the movie were so invested in their characters that I believed they actually played baseball. The TV series actresses...not so much. Dottie, Kit, May, Marla, Dorris, they all had that athletic look to them. The series actresses do not have that look at all. Whenever I seen the "star" meet the red head, I knew that this series was straying far from the movie. And one of the best scenes in the movie was the tryouts but the series tore that to shreds. Just all around a huge disappointment.
