It wasn’t too bad but having read all the books and watched the Netflix series, I definitely prefer the series over the film. The characters were a bit underwhelming, Jace and Clary weren’t too bad but the rest didn’t match the books. I also thought how they ended it was awful, they never clarified that Jace and Clary aren’t actually brother and sister so for people who haven’t read the books they don’t get any further information. For 2 hours they could of moved the story along further and better. Overall though, they matched up scenes well with the book and they can’t get it exactly the same so it was a good watch nonetheless.
