Was it an amazing movie? No… it was available to stream via Peacock; that alone says enough. For the commenters calling any sex scene in this movie “pornography” (when the MOST you see are butts) have either: 1) never watched porn, 2) lie about watching porn, or 3) have been conditioned to think that if it’s two people of the same gender make out/see two male butts in a simulated scene is porn. If you fall in that category… why did you do watch this movie? Sounds more like a you problem to me. Am I saying this movie is great? No (check the rating). Am I suspicious of the reviewers rating this like it’s the worst horror movie they’ve ever seen and blaming it on something that made them “uncomfy”? Yes. I’m rating you. Also… if you used “woke” in your review, you must be a fun person to be around and get invited to ALL the parties.
My review: worst horror movie (have you not watched any other horror movie before this one… say Paranormal Activity)? No. Best horror movie? I mean not even close.
I appreciate the general plot line, could’ve been done better, but the fact it even was gets at least a star on its own. Also, giving a star for unlocking a *fun* repressed memory from a sleep away camp where I was blindfolded and left in the middle of the woods at 11 with a bunch of other campers that was traumatic, so that’s where the 3rd star comes from.
Do I recommend watching? For free, sure why not. If simulated sex scenes that only show male butts, Kevin Bacon being a bad guy, and the use of pronouns make you feel a sense of anger and outrage, then I suggest you move on to your Joe Rohan podcasts that make you feel “seen and heard”. Thoughts and prayers to you.
