Updated: Over the last year, or so, SSG's decisions have lacked finesse and logic. If you want to know the details- look at their forums; General and Lammania discussions. The fun is gone, which is a shame because there was a great deal of amazing work, but the reduction in effectiveness for classes and styles- to make room for the new concepts (Which means to be effective, you have to incorporate the new concept)- is tiring. I've played this game for years, spent money on it gladly, until recently... now I am through. I'll play out the final VIP period and probably just drop it entirely. There are new games, with fresh ideas, and developers that apply good sense and logical adjustments where needed. SSG's nerfs are sweeping, deep and very rarely adjusted back up. Build and styles are abandoned because they cannot stack up suddenly- and these builds require time and effort to achieve because of the deep cyclical character building (Past heroic lives, Past racial lives, past epic lives, iconic lives and soon legendary lives (And the legendary power is incremental gain- fractions; nothing legendary about it; just the same grind with a new title) Previous review below... --------------------- This is a great game- diverse builds, a lot of free content and amazing ideas. Unfortunately, the current developing company, SSG, has terrible customer service response time- or they close out the ticket because you are not online after several hours, poorly QA'd updates, and their new releases lack polish. There is a current trend of over powered P2P (purchaseable) class or enhancement releases that are reduced in efficacy after several months "for balance". This rebalance seems to coincide with the next P2P release. I've tried to think it is just engineers who fail to anticipate population response to bad timing but it happens almost every time, and it has been pointed out to them in their forums. The game is outstanding- I love it- but the current management is inept in their stewardship. Some great Devs, but the management is lousy.
