Bizarre, confronting, Gothic, sometimes repulsive, even disgusting. A satanic fairytale. Amazing camera, setting the tone amid the sinister shadows and fiery reds of Hades itself. A riveting performance from lead actor Keoghan. Respect to the directors and producers for fearlessly veering completely off the beaten track. But not a film I would have opted to view if I had known in advance and fully its subject matter or plot!
