Barring the emotional tribute to Chadwick Boseman, I found the movie underwhelming due to its casting choices and narrative direction.
I’m increasingly frustrated with the trend of replacing iconic male superheroes with female counterparts. While diversity and representation are important, it often feels forced, as if Marvel is prioritizing trends over meaningful storytelling. This approach disrupts the continuity and depth of the characters we’ve grown to love over the years.
Since “Endgame,” Marvel’s movies have lacked the magic and cohesive storytelling that once defined the franchise. The shift in tone and character focus feels disconnected, leaving me unimpressed despite the grand scale and technical excellence. “Wakanda Forever” had so much potential, but the casting choices and narrative decisions made it feel like a missed opportunity.
Marvel needs to reassess its priorities, as it’s becoming increasingly clear that flashy visuals alone can’t compensate for weak storytelling and divisive casting decisions.
