***Spoiler Alert*** I had such mixed emotions about his movie. The plot and its ability to create intrigue was good. The part for me that was the least convincible was the chemistry between Miranda and Mr. B's son. I know it was a movie and it would have been maybe easier to show the attraction building if it were a series but I just never made the connection as to how/why Miranda so easily followed him wherever he led and dated him. Her acting kind of played into the stereotype that Latinas are easy and jump at the opportunity to not only be with a gringo but a wealthy gringo at that! As the viewer, I knew that he was playing her from the jump and then so-called changed his mind because he was pursuing her a little too much but never broke off his engagement. Because so many unnecessary scenes were dedicated to their intimate moment in bed, it really gave the impression that Mr. B's son was really only wowed by the sex, and exoticism of it all and realized after having such a fun time that being stopped due to his brother confronting him that he "loved" Miranda! Even when the script tried to redeem him, it was not believable. Also, it makes Miranda seem loose. Really Tobias is like the man of a woman's dreams so in regards to stability, and enduring love, he is the best pick. But it really made me wonder if she was still capable of being in love with him because she only expressed feelings for him that hinted beyond the friendzone when he realized that she would lose him. I wish there was something else that would have shown that the chemistry between Tobias and Miranda was still there instead of the colors in the flame concept. Miranda showing where she genuinely began to like but scrutinize Mr. B's son and chemistry with Tobias would have made the story more interesting and made it believable that she would have to choose between the two. I think the actress could have acted better but also the script could have been written better to show he reluctance to be with Mr. B's son because it would fit the rest of the script better if she is self-conscious of how she affected his family. This movie was not great but it wasnot terrible either.
