In practical terms, Asimov does indeed make understanding Biblical events, places, and people, much clearer to the human mind in the years of 2000's. I can't see where anyone could give this anything but a 5-star rating. There is nothing to complain about. Asimov clearly states he is not a specialist in antiquarian nor Biblical studies per ce, even though he does clarify practical things that certainly are clearly worth knowing. Anyone who knows of his other books would/will quickly recognize the likelihood of the many reasons Asimov had interests in the Bible, as an author, a scientist and a man whose concerns of and for mankind are documented. You would gather more from reading his books over anyone talking about him, that of course includes this one.
