What a fantastic finale. Don't let the people review bombing this influence you. This is now my third favorite Star Wars film. Everything a fan could want. Abundant saber fights, epic stakes, an Emperor who is more evil than we have ever seen, deep lore force powers that us fans of the books all of these years finally get to see on screen. All of the character arcs were played out to perfection. I teared up no less than three times watching it. The beginning is very choppy in the editing which is the films' only flaw, this was because they had to cover so much so quickly and retcon some of The Last Jedi bits. After about twenty minutes it solidly finds its footing though A lot of people bash TLJ, frankly, I'm glad it happened for this story now, because, without some of Johnson's choices, some of the more touching things in this movie couldn't have happened.. 4.5 out of 5

The people giving this five stars clearly haven't seen the ending yet. I'm giving this one star for one of the worst finales I've ever seen in my life, and for a company falsely advertising something to me to steal my money. That said, it's a shame the ending is so bad and so horribly desecrates the original's timeless story. Everything up until the last hour is almost perfect in every way. The gameplay is fun, the expansions of the story beats make sense and are relatively well done, but then that last hour happens and it is such a sour note it exponentially degrades the entirety of the experience. I guess I would recommend this if you're just into decent combat and gameplay, but if you're an OG fan, or a newbie coming in for the story to see what all the fuss was about, avoid this like the plague. Go buy the original on any of the multiple platforms it's on now and play it. The graphics are very dated but the gameplay and story still hold up extremely well. Minor spoiler, but I'd read it for your own good: This is not a remake, it's a sequel. Just be aware of that before purchasing it. Had Square been honest about that from the start instead of leading me on with bait into a bunch of alternate time line, dimension bending, Deus ex Machina BS with some Kingdom Hearts thrown in that obliterates the original's story I probably wouldn't be so upset right now.
