This movie twists and turns with predictability until it all becomes a farce. Tyler Perry, you have slipped way down to the point of gratuitous backsliding…..don’t watch this movie, it’s so flawed…..Korean shows provide much better story lines and intrigue than this sad tale. Sorry we watched until the end but with one eye on it and the other on my solitaire game …. Yawn

We enjoyed this filmed approach to the famous Chridtmas tale.Dan Stevens makes Dickens character believable and charming. Its an alternative version with some realistic insights and challenges of the famed author. Yes he even had writers block which we never would have imagined that Dickens had, showing us the darker side 85% eriters world

I enjoy dramatic sci-fi and this has both drama and sci.-fi combined. It has interesting characters but I am adamant that the Producers enabled the Director(s) to film this in dark mode in each episode. So annoying ! This seems to be an attempt to make the show eerier or spookier to enhance the story line. In my opinion, not being able to see realistic lighting even in broad daylight is a cheap cinematic tactic and a mistake. It takes away the responsibility and accountability for the screenplay. It made watching an agonizing experience and ruins a decent story. Cheap tricks equal a Fail ! Learn a lesson and don’t do it again, the show would of been good without doing the dark mode -all the time….. cheers

In short, I loved this whacky adaptation of a western brought to life by a great script and thought provoking dialogue.The actors were outstanding in their character roles, perfect casting. "Surly Joe" song had me almost peeing my pants with laughter, although there was death involved, it was handled so tongue in cheek funny in bringing about Surly Joe's demise. I replayed certain parts of this film,over and over to relive the kicks it gave The sad part was when cameo Liam Neeson decided to divest his road show of the quadraplegic thespian in exchange for a chicken who can count ! Sad to see what he decided to do and then seeing the empty seat in the wagon next to the stupid chicken ! Brought sadness to me thinking of how callow Some people are about a human life. This movie like many good ones can be viewed over and over, with pleasure ! Well done ,all involved as the Coen brothers vision was excellently delivered to the audience.
