Lot's of good elements, sufficient charitor building and I felt sorry for Andy the Synthetic which is interesting considering it's not even human. The practical effects are great, very well done, on the Aliens look fully grown Xeno and the face hugers looked real. The alien cocoon was a good addition and the guy who gets killed after electrciting the Xeno died more horrific then the trailers showed, very nasty way to die. They did show a bit to much in the trailers however there is still enough that was not shown to make it interesting to see it in full. The scenes and set design was excellent, very believable, the sets blend new visuals with old. There was several questions in My head throughout which was a bit distracting trying to work out 1 why nobody is attempting to save the Space station? 2 why put all the effort to grow hundreds of face hugers and then abandon them, 3 Was Ash responsible for the development of the Hive?
The movie takes elements from Alien 1 2 3, Resurrection, Prometheus, and covernent. It's easy enough to make many assumptions that are probably correct such as the face hungers where grown from embryo the same as was seen in David's hands in the prequel and is why there was no eggs.
I'm not going to break down the entire movie but I will say You should go see this movie it's equal in quality to Alien 1 and 2 better then Resurrection and the prequels but takes enough from each and then expands on those, and also definitely leaves room for a new follow up movie to Romulus. I will buy the DVD and Or Blue ray and add it to My Alien movie collection.
