Queenmaker begins as an interesting and thought-provoking elaboration on the story of the biblical Michal and King David. Too soon the author veers into angry assumptions and then away from the biblical facts. The names are familiar but the details of the story are very different. I finished the book, enjoying it as I do any other moderately well-written fictional tale. The fact that the typos increased as the story became more outlandish makes me wonder that the publisher stopped paying attention before allowing it to go to publication. Too bad. There was promise. I will not be reading her other "biblically based" stories.
