Jim O'Connell

Look, this is a prime time soap opera. Don't expect more than that. The dialogue is hackneyed and corny. The acting is pretty bad. But the scenery is great. The cast is attractive. The setting is unusual to say the least. The plotting and pacing works. The lighting and direction are competent. It's a pleasant diversion and some lightweight summer entertainment that works. Don't expect Shakespeare and you can't go wrong. I will definitely watch Season 2.
