I saw this movie with my husband, who, by the way, is not a Downton Abbey fan, but wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I, on the other hand, have binge watched all 6 seasons multiple times, saw the first movie 3 times before buying the DVD, and now the new movie. I wish I could say I enjoyed this one, I really do, but I didn't. The plot line was contrived, the dialogue tired, and who thought having Cora think she was dying was a good idea?! Yes, I knew the Dowager Countess was going to die in this one, but come on, Cora too? No way was that happening! I think if Julian Fellowes decides to write a third film, I'll wait for it to be released on DVD before I waste my money again. Sorry Mr. Fellowes, but just because you wrote and produced a fantastic series that the world just can't seem to get enough of doesn't mean you have to return to the cash cow again and again!
