It’s an accidental comedy. A mix between Jason Bourne and the cliche’s of Team America.
The night agent Peter, manning the phones at night. So serious is his job that he almost hangs up on a women who is about to be murdered if she didn’t have the right code words. Fast forward he is chatting to her throughout the night on the same phone with his feet on the table. He won’t listen to anyone but his gut.
Rose the women who he is sworn to protect. Just a regular CEO of a tech company at 30 fallen on hard times. She’s witty, she’s sassy and ready to use her tech skills to be the dynamic duo to take down this plot that goes all the way to the White House.
A couple of assassins. One stoic and calm all business. The other an unhinged psychopath who watched a few episodes of Bellatrix from Harry Patter for acting classes. At one point they are contemplating a family but decide the life style of an assassin just isn’t conducive for it.
Arrington is a young cop. On a protective details of the Vice Presidents daughter. She’s a no nonsense no excuses kind of lady. Hard on herself and others cause she expects the best. Especially hard on her new colleague who took a bullet for the president. Then had a drug addiction he overcame post the injury. She isn’t happy about this. Doesn’t trust him cause his reflexes were too slow in a bar fight. Don’t worry that he is a hero and literally more senior than her and personal friends with her boss. For some reason he respects her even though she is trying to ruin his career. Maybe cause she is just so dedicated to her job.
Chief of Staff Far. A white wig and a restrictive emotional range. Is she good is she bad? You’ll never know until the end. She gives nothing away in acting or dialogue.
I had a lot of laugh out loud moments in this. With some cliche so hard it made me cringe. If you love America and the FBI officer who can do it all and dam the rules! This is the series for you. It’s predictable but it’s bingeable. Easy watch, just don’t count on using all of your brain cells.
