Personally, I loved it, while I wasn't born in the 90s, I liked how they brought back two original actors, I notice some people complaining how only those two returned but you need to remember that Thuy Trang and Jason David Frank are dead, and before his death, JDF turned it down as well of Amy Jo Johnson turned it down due to not wanting to or payment issues, and Austin St. John couldn't due to legal matters. Plus give David Yost credit as he returned despite the homophobia he received when he starred in the original MMPR from some of the crew, and I think Walter and David's acting was great. Plus, I loved how they honored Thuy Trang and Jason David Frank by cutting to a scene from the original show with Kimberly singing Down the Road, which cuts to their pictures. I'm not going to lie the CGI with the Megazord seemed a bit off and I preferred if they kept it practical with a man in a suit. Also, people complaining about the couple with one of them saying "Save my boyfriend" You have to know they aren't targeting this to kids but instead, they were trying to draw in full-grown viewers and more preferably viewers who watched the originals as kids as this special got more mature like how its viewers got more mature, they were trying to remind the viewers that they aren't kids anymore when they watched the show but full grown adults now and they were trying to make this special more mature and you know that true since they killed off Trini and using the word "kill" instead of "destroy" in it as they rarely used kill in the series.
