Not as good as the original Borderlands but they did a really good job at giving the sequel a solid remastered look and feel. The gunplay is virtually the same which is perfect and they enhanced graphics, customization options and other HUD improvements. The biggest downfall of Borderlands 2 is the common enemies you encounter such as the hyperion loaders, cannibals/rats, varkid, threshers and stalkers. All in all it’s a bit of an overload of the wildlife on Pandora.

An original I will compare most other games to. Borderlands executes their story and gameplay and only leaves room for improvement in a remastered edition to clean up graphics and expand customization options. The characters are all spot on and really shows the player the vibe that Borderlands is trying to create from Nine Toes to TK Baha. Having multiple playthroughs definitely allows for the player to enjoy the game for longer at a higher difficulty but the missions can get repetitive, especially the DLC’s.

Identical gameplay as Borderlands 2 but with more visually appealing maps. The colours and graphics in this game are perfect and is once again another great addition to the series. The characters are well done and they fill in the gap between the first 2 games of the series very nicely.

Pros: Customization features have been improved drastically and money/ammo pickups have improved in every game. The graphics are really sharp and there is a lot of attention to detail in the maps. The concept of going to different planets was really well thought out and makes the series very interconnected, and having “Sanctuary” as a space ship is a very good idea in my opinion. They continue to reuse original characters from the previous games and elaborate more on their stories which also makes the games more connected to each other. The game also does a really good job with the new playable characters they bring in, especially Moze & FL4K. Cons: The main antagonists are a huge let down as they lack everything that makes up the Borderlands series. They don’t have any memorable scenes and are just plain annoying. Other than the gameplay being smooth and looking great, it lacks the roughness that Borderlands 1 & 2 had that the series was meant to have. The overall game has a slight downgrade in gunplay and lacks the memorable maps and scenes that the original had.
