Just wonderful. I could never understand why I had to wait so long to see this again. As a young girl in 1977, working in a bookshop, being paid next to nothing it was a drug! I raced home to the bedsit every Thursday I think it was. Fell madly in love with Mathieu as I'm sure every existentialist girl did in those days. I had already fallen in love with Jean Paul Sartre whose trilogy this series dramatised. Just watch it. Simply the best!

It is a wonderful film. It shows up the absolute absurdity and cruelty of a justice system that allows 'Death Row' to exist. It exposes the hypocrisy of the Texan Christian officials in charge of justice. The lack of scientific evidence is appalling. Well worth watching and if you do, it might be a good time to lobby for the abolition of capital punishment. Terrific performance by Jack O' Connell. The creeps in the trial remind me of American born again Christian maniacs at their worst.
