Stick with this movie. I almost stopped watching several times during the first 20 minutes (another grumpy old man movie?) but then it took a turn and I couldn't stop watching. Could have been really schlocky but the film maintains a fine balance. Ultimately, it is heart warming in the best sense of that word, truly poignant yet both fufillingly sad and richly funny at times. Well worth 2 hours of my life. This could so easily have been conceptually mishandled and tritely presented. But it wasn't. Instead, to this viewer's delight, it was handled with wit, intelligence, humor, and heart. Andy Allo and Robbie Amell have a sweet chemistry. The supporting characters are all terrific; Luke, Aleesha, Nora's Dad et. al. Though the final episode of season 1 gets a little dire and bloody, this is overall a wonderfully likeable, fun and intriguing show. Easy to binge watch without feeling like you are binging!
